Biography - Col Edward P. Angelovich, CAP
Colonel Edward (Ed) P. Angelovich assumed duties as Commander, North Carolina Wing Civil Air Patrol on 8 February 2020. Currently he leads the Wing's six Groups, a total of 32 Squadrons including 17 aircraft and over 2,200 members in fulfilling the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary's congressionally chartered missions of Emergency Services, Cadet Programs and Aerospace Education. As well, he leads the Wing in the organization's role in America's Homeland Security missions as a member of the Air Force's Total Force.
Col Angelovich joined CAP in July 2007 and served in the New York Wing as Safety Officer of the Dutchess County Composite Squadron. He held various Group staff positions and later command positions as Deputy Group Commander and Group Commander of South Eastern Group. Col Angelovich transferred to North Carolina Wing in 2013 and assumed duties as Group 5 Commander in 2014. He joined the North Carolina Wing command staff in June 2016 as Vice Commander - North.
A resident of Holden Beach, North Carolina, Col Angelovich is married to Barbara and has two adult married children, Edward Jr., and Jessica, and twin granddaughters, Ellie and Harper.
