Command NCO
Biography – Chief Master Sergeant Christopher Cozzi, CAP
CMSgt Christopher Cozzi is the second Command NCO and Senior Enlisted Leader for the North Carolina Wing, appointed in 2025. In this role, he serves as the primary advisor to the Wing Commander on matters concerning mission effectiveness, as well as the professional development, training, and utilization of the Wing’s NCOs. His additional responsibilities include observing and reporting on the performance of squadrons within the Wing.
CMSgt Cozzi joined the Raleigh-Wake Composite Squadron in 2015 and quickly became a vital member of the Squadron Cadet Programs team. During his tenure, he held several key positions including Deputy Commander for Cadets, Squadron NCO, Aerospace Education Officer, Squadron Leadership Officer, Professional Development Officer, and ultimately, Squadron Commander. He has also served on the Mid-Atlantic Region staff as NCO Advisor to the Region Command NCO, Activity Director for regional events, and has contributed to numerous special projects across the region.
Prior to his Civil Air Patrol service, CMSgt Cozzi served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police officer, specializing in Airborne operations and Traffic Accident Investigations. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
