2025 Spring Ranger Training Weekend

Registration for the 2025 Spring Ranger Training Weekend is now open!  This event will be held at Camp Tuscarora in Four Oaks North Carolina.  The dates for this spring's event will be 28-30 March 2025.  If you wish to apply for Cadet Staff, please see the instructions at the bottom of this email. 

Please read carefully the steps below and ensure that you complete all the required documentation (with signatures where required) in order to reserve your slot. We will be offering the pre-ranger course, basic, intermediate, and advanced ground team courses as well as the Wilderness First Aid Course (limited to 24 students), Mission Radio Operator Course (limited to 10 students), and the sUAS Technician course (limited to 10 students).

Steps to Complete Registration:

1. Complete the Ranger Training Weekend Online Registration form.  Both students and staff are required to register with this form:

2. Completion of all the required CAP forms for overnight events​    Please make sure to use the attached pdf workbooks which have combined all forms for both seniors and cadets.  All documents are to be completed and signed where applicable.   Please be aware that you must have completed General Emergency Services (GES) before participating in Ranger Training Weekend or any other ES activities.

• CAPF-163 Permission for Provision of Minor Cadet Over-The-Counter Medication

                 Please email all completed and signed forms to rtwadmin@ncwgcap.org.​  Do not send incomplete documents.

3. Once you have completed online registration form and we have received all fully completed and signed forms, the payment link will be sent to the participant to pay the registration fee.  The registration fee for this year's event will be $75.00 for the basic event, $115 for the Wilderness First Aid Course if you are already CPR qualified,  and $150 if you require WFA + CPR training at the event.

Registration will close on March 15th and all documentation and payments must be received at that time or you will be removed from the registration and put on the waitlist.  No one will be allowed to show up the date of the event and participate if they have not completed all steps of the registration. There will be no leeway with this requirement.

      Cadet Staff Application Process

•  All cadet staff except kitchen staff should have a minimum of GTM3 Trainee status 

•  All LINE Staff applicants are required to submit their CAP resumes to the RTW Admin email along with your completed paperwork 

      Cadet Staff Deadlines

• Exec (Cadet Command Chief) / Squadron Staff (Zulu/Tango Cadet Commander & C/1stSgt) - Applications are due NLT 17 Jan

• All Line & Support Staff - Applications are due NLT 24 Jan
