2026 Summer Encampment

The 2026 Summer Basic Encampment is at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. Arrival for students will be 18 July with a departure date of 25 July 2026.

(Staff arrival is 17 July)

Registration is full for students and staff. However, students can still register for the primary event and be placed on a waitlist for the Basic Student registration site. Once there is an opening, we will notify you and move you into the Basic Student sub-event. You must register for the primary event to be placed on the waitlist. Round one of the Cadet Encampment Assistance Program (CEAP) is closed, but round two opens 1 June. Should you need assistance with Encampment or Uniform payments, please click the link on the sidebar for additional information (Registration for Student). The payment portal has been opened for staff and student. Please log into eServices and make your payment; the deadline is 18 May 2026. There is documentation on the side bar that takes you through the payment steps. There is also information there for updating your contact information, t-shirt size, and medical information.

More information will be coming out shortly, but here is some initial information:. Attached is the first of our Question-and-Answer slide deck from our Encampment CDIs. We will also be sending out information via email and through your unit commanders.

The vision for Encampment is Confidence. We know you have what it takes to make it through the week of Encampment. You've got this! It is normal to be nervous and unsure, but you have the skills to handle the challenge. You will be with other cadet staff that are there to support you, help you grow, become independent, and help you learn more about Civil Air Patrol.

Cadets, start preparing for Encampment now. Take daily walks, drink lots of water, and read through your drill steps.

If you need new boots, buy them now to break them in prior to Encampment. If you need another pair of ABUs or OCPs, check out the local military supply stores, online stores, or even your squadron. Make sure you have a rolling luggage bag to bring with you and be sure to purchase your blister band-aids early.

The vision for this Encampment is Confidence with a command intent of having the 2026 North Carolina Wing Encampment exist to build confident cadets — both staff and student. We want our cadets to become leaders and followers who trust in their training, their cadet peers, and themselves. Confidence is the foundation of leadership. It is gained through early preparation, strengthened by discipline, and sustained by integrity. Our objective for the 2026 summer Encampment is to turn our students into future leaders, help our cadet leaders build on their strengths, and challenge them to keep seeking excellence.
