Aerospace Education Outreach Reporting
Reach for the Stars!
Many of our squadrons conduct regular aerospace education outreach in our local communities. NCWG AE would like to be able to quantify and recognize this impact.
To encourage both reporting and outreach, we’ve created 3 levels of achievement to reach for the Stars!
Level 1: Moon - 2 or more events YTD
Level 2: Mars – 6 or more events YTD
Level 3: Alpha Centauri – 10 or more events YTD
Monthly, the squadron (s) reporting the most events YTD will be our SuperNovas! (Remember – squadrons can support events jointly – they need to agree who will report the event and provide the credit to all units supporting the event)
We have created an online form to gather this information which will only take a few minutes to complete.
FAQ's:
Who should complete the form? The unit AEO, Commander or PAO.
When? After every EXTERNAL event involving AE, including where CAP AE STEM kits were used for the event.
More than one squadron participated - what should we do? Agree on ONE unit to submit the report after the outreach has been conducted.
How do we count how many members of the public were at the event? Often the organizers can provide you with an estimate of the event attendance (or a teacher might be able to tell you how many children were in the classroom etc).
Will the results be shared with us? Yes. A summary report listing the events each squadron supported will be shared via e-mail regularly with NCWG. The end of year report will provide a useful record of external activities your squadron participated in, when completing the annual AE activity report, especially the 'Above and beyond" section.
Before you complete the form:
1) The form should take less than 4 minutes to complete.
2) You will need to be logged into NCWG Microsoft 365 to be able to access the form.
3) If you support a multi day event, you will need to complete a form for each day.
4) Feel free to enter events that you had not previously submitted. If you are not sure if the event was submitted previously, please reach out to Maj Green/Lt Col Dunster who will provide you with a listing of all events submitted by your unit.
